Greenfield Elementary School Halloween Costume Guidelines: A colorful Halloween-themed poster with a green-and-white polka-dot border, spiderwebs, bats, and a dog dressed as a ghost holding a pumpkin. The poster outlines five costume rules: costumes must be age-appropriate for elementary students; respect people and cultures by avoiding costumes that imitate or stereotype others based on culture, race, ethnicity, religion, or disability; scary costumes should be appropriate for the age of the children present; toy guns, knives, swords, or other weapons are not allowed, even as part of costumes; and masks or extreme makeup that hide identity, as well as costumes that are fake-blood or gore-themed or too scary for young students, are prohibited. The poster encourages families to help make Greenfield’s Halloween celebrations fun, friendly, and safe for everyone.
