Welcome to Greenfield Elementary School

Where students, staff and parents live “The Greenfield Way” of respect, responsibility and kindness. At the foundation of our success is our comprehensive Character Education program. Greenfield Elementary was honored as a National School of Character by the Character Education Partnership in Washington D.C. in 2009, 2019 and 2023. We were one of 36 schools in the country to receive this prestigious honor. Our staff, students and parents are committed to promoting high character in all aspects of our school day.

School Overview

Academic offerings: We are proud to meet the varying needs of the greatest children anywhere and are dedicated to providing a successful elementary experience for each of them.

Greenfield students have an opportunity to participate in our successful Gator Buddies Program. Students provide support, assistance and friendship to other peers within the building.
District Accreditation by the Cognia Global Commission
We are proud to host a program for K-5 Autistic Spectrum Disorder students and for elementary Moderately Cognitively Impaired students.
Quality half day preschool programs in each elementary building.
Recipient of Michigan's prestigious environmental Green School distinction.
Comprehensive English as a Second Language (ESL) programs.

Staff

Academics

Greenfield is committed to providing each and every student with a challenging, engaging and productive learning experience. For children needing academic assistance we offer the before school Greenfield Programs for Academic Success. Reading and math support staff also assist students during the day. For all students, there are many opportunities to receive additional enrichment to our curriculum. These include Math Pentathlon, Destination Imagination, Battle of the Books, Honors Choir, Wordmasters, Coding, PTA Reflections and Science Olympiad.

Community Service

Greenfield staff, students and parents are active in community service programs both within our immediate area as well as outside our community. We support our military troops overseas as well as donating to local food banks, shelters and continue to collaborate with the community garden to support our community. We are committed to promoting high character in all aspects of our school day.
